Chocolate chip cookies are an all time classic and a favorite snack among all.Known how to make in every household with special recipes passed down from generations to generations.But here’s a foolproof one with healthy substitutes that makes it even better.
Ingredients
- Granulated white sugar [1/2 cup]
- Jaggery (light brown sugar) [3/4 cup]
- Salt [1 tsp]
- Butter (melted) [1/2 cup]
- Egg (room temperature) [1 large]
- Vanilla essence [1 tsp]
- Wheat Flour [1 1/4 cup]
- Baking soda [1/2 tsp]
- Chocolate chips(substitute with milk chocolate chunks for gooier chocolate) [1/2 cup]
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180 degree for 10 minutes.
- Mix together the granulated white sugar,salt and light brown sugar (jaggery).
- Add the melted butter to this mixture.
- Mix till all the ingredients are combined
- Add the egg and the vanilla extract.
- Sieve the wheat flour and baking soda to the mixture.
- Don’t mix it completely and make sure some flour is left. [makes it easier to combine chocolate chips to the dough.]
- Add the chocolate chips and mix till the dough is formed and there is no flour left.
- Shape it into balls and place it on a tray lined with parchment sheet.
- Bake at 180 degree for 12-15 minutes.
Note
- Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature.
- Use an 1/4 cup ice cream scoop to ensure even cooking [optional]
